This evening I sent my first ever invoice as a freelance journalist - the first time I will have been paid for my writing since the heady days of The Perthshire Advertiser (who had the reasonable rate of £15 per review and free tickets to all the PYT and random touring ballet I could shake a stick at).
To celebrate, Captain Tact has given me PLAGUE. But I'm still cheesin', as the kids say. You can read the article in question here, if you'd like. It's about trying to get paid work. In journalism.
